Melville Primary School runs a Student Parliament as the student leadership program.
It is comprised of a Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister who are the elected leaders. The other ministries have an elected Minister and Deputy Minister. These are the schools ministries:

- Communication
Elections for Student Parliament are held each semester. This enables 18 students with the opportunity to represent Melville Primary School at student leadership levels each semester. 36 leadership positions are available each year for Year 6 students to display their leadership qualities.
