If it is necessary for a child to be absent a brief explanation is legally required. Notifications can be given by:
- using the Melville Primary Connect Now App OR
- emailing melville.ps@education.wa.edu.au OR
- phoning – 9263 1300 between 8.00am – 9.30am on the day of absence.
The following information is required:
- Name of student
- Room
- Reason for absence
When an explanation is not received, a letter or email will be sent from the school to parents requesting an explanation for a child’s absence. If taking children out of school for a vacation, permission must be sought in writing from the Principal prior to leaving – melanie.osborne2@education.wa.edu.au
